Discover Andreas Taqueria Lynn

Walking into Andreas Taqueria Lynn feels like stepping into a place that already knows you. The small, lively taqueria at 168 Broad St, Lynn, MA 01901, United States has that familiar buzz you only get when locals actually eat there, not just pass through. I first stopped by on a weekday afternoon after a long work meeting nearby, expecting a quick bite, and ended up staying longer than planned because the food and energy pulled me in.

The menu leans heavily into classic Mexican street food, and that’s where this place really shines. Tacos are the obvious star, with options like carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, and lengua cooked to order. What stood out to me was the balance of flavor rather than just heat. The meats are well-seasoned, not drowned in spice, which lines up with what food researchers from institutions like the Culinary Institute of America often emphasize: flavor complexity comes from layering techniques, not overpowering ingredients. You can see that approach here in how the meats are marinated, grilled, and rested before serving.

One visit, I watched the cook shave al pastor directly from the trompo, finishing it with a quick sear before loading it onto warm corn tortillas. That process matters. According to food science studies published by the USDA, resting and proper heat control help retain moisture and flavor in meats, and you can taste the difference. The tortillas themselves are soft, slightly elastic, and clearly fresh, which makes every bite hold together instead of falling apart halfway through.

Beyond tacos, the menu includes burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and plates that come with rice and beans. Portions are generous without feeling sloppy. A friend of mine who works in food service joined me on a later visit and pointed out how consistent the plating was, even during a busy lunch rush. Consistency is something restaurant consultants often cite as a key factor in positive customer reviews, and that shows up here both on the plate and in how the staff handles orders.

Speaking of reviews, many locals talk about this spot as a go-to for quick, reliable meals. Online feedback frequently highlights friendly service and fast turnaround times, which aligns with my own experience. Even when the place is packed, orders move efficiently. The staff explains menu items without rushing you, which builds trust, especially for first-time visitors unfamiliar with certain dishes.

Location also plays a role in why this taqueria works so well. Being right on Broad Street makes it accessible whether you’re walking from downtown Lynn or driving in from nearby neighborhoods. I’ve noticed families, construction workers, students, and office employees all sharing the same space, which says a lot about how broadly appealing the food is. The dining area is casual and no-frills, but clean and welcoming, focusing attention where it belongs: the food.

One thing worth noting is that seating can feel tight during peak hours, and parking nearby isn’t always guaranteed. That’s pretty common for popular spots in busy areas, and while it’s a small limitation, it hasn’t stopped regulars from coming back. In fact, many people I spoke to said they prefer takeout during lunch and dine in during slower hours.

What really keeps people loyal is the feeling that this place cares about doing simple food the right way. There’s no gimmick, no overcomplicated fusion twist, just well-executed Mexican comfort food served consistently. As one regular told me, this is the kind of spot you crave on a random Tuesday, and that comment stuck with me because it perfectly sums up the experience.

  • I've only ever ordered the shrimp burrito to work via delivery app and have never been disappointed by this location's quality and freshness. One day, I'll allow enough time to go in rather than order delivery. Colleagues have enjoyed their food as well and I convinced our department to order from there for a larger event over another local place.

  • I first want to mention that the folks at Andrea’s Taqueria in Lynn are some of the most welcoming and kind people I’ve met. From the second i stepped into their establishment, they greeted me quickly and proceeded to help me get my order. We called to order around 7:45 and it was ready in about 20 minutes which is pretty fast. My girlfriend and I were pretty hungry getting off work so this was very satisfying! The Birria Tacos were cooked perfectly with a great ratio of carne to cheese. The tortillas gave off the right amount of crunch and they were not too greasy which is the case in a lot places that cook Birria. What sets this Birria off than others is that they offer 4 Tacos instead of 3 AND they include Cilantro, Onions, Red Radish and Rice with a slice of Lime for only 15$. WOW!! Great deal! We also got 3 Beef Tongue tacos as well which were amazing!! My girlfriends mom gave them a thumbs up which is a 5 star in my book! We will 100% be back to dine in or takeout from Andrea’s Taqueria in Lynn again! Great service! Great atmosphere! Great people! thanks again! -Benjamin P-H

  • An excellent experience and the best Mexican food I have had in Lynn to date. The atmosphere was positive and welcoming with laughter and smiles from the staff. I usually can tell the quality of the food before I even order it by the quality of the chips and salsa brought to the table upon arrival. Here the chips were not so much chips as they were authentic tortilla triangles with great texture and flavor. The salsa that came with it was out of this world. Deep rich savory flavor that kept me dipping. The portions were large and each bite remained flavorful and satisfying. I ordered the burrito verde with steak and was greeted with what I remember burritos looking like years ago. A huge tortilla filled to the brim covered in sauce and cheese. Steak was in every bite and the verde sauce was exceptional. My partner ordered the fish tacos. The tortillas tasted so fresh that I could almost swear they made them in the back from corn they just shucked and ground. They did not skimp on the taco fillings either. The price was affordable compared to most places including fast food establishments. The burrito was a cool 14. I will be frequenting Andreas with excitement at trying more items on the menu.

  • Fantastic! The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Chef Raphael delivers authentic Mexican Flavors at a reasonable price. We met as a group of six and we were very well taken care of by chef Raphael himself. It was hard to choose just one thing to order , so we sampled all seven tacos, carne Asada Birria tacos and more. Everything was on point , from the tortilla to the house made salsa roja to compliment your meal. 100% will return and highly recommend!!!

  • Super nice people, super clean place, and super super super yummy food. I got the 3 taco combo with 2 pork (not pictured because I ate them so fast) and 1 chicken. Really good, would go back if I’m in the area!

  • Grabbed a veggie burrito with a salad to go and was not disappointed! Jamaica was good too, wish they had that on the online menu so I could have ordered it all at once.

  • Fantastic and fresh food with huge portions. Staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the fish tacos, ceviche and steak taco combo. Ceviche is a meal unto itself, flavour was full and rich. Have it with chips-crackers were offered as well. Steak tacos were classic, house made hot sauce was amazing, rice and beans were perfectly flavoured. Fish tacos were great, sauce was a great compliment, fish was not battered and allowed for full flavour to come through. Chips and salsa were brought to the table immediately upon being seated, chips were still warm from being made, salsa was mild and flavourful-perfect start to the meal. We both brought home leftovers. We visited on the night of a soccer game and it appeared to be a viewing party consisting of friends and family as no one else was eating at the time. However a steady stream of pickup orders were made throughout our time there and we were made to feel very welcomed and engaged in the game. We’d be back for sure if local (visiting from Toronto).
